Ryders Hayes Primary School was one of the first 100 designated National Teaching Schools in the country and has been providing support for schools nationally in improving outcomes for children since 2009. The main function of Teaching Schools is to take a leading role in the training and professional development of teachers, support staff and head teachers, as well as contributing to the raising of standards through school-to-school support.
Ryders Hayes Teaching School works collaboratively with its Strategic Partners and Alliance Schools to offer high quality provision. We are also one of 16 Teaching Schools designated nationally to train Specialist Leaders of Education. We are now in our 4th year of a very successful School Direct Programme in alliance with Birmingham City University.
